The first season of REBELReloaded's fanfiction series, The Savages, first aired on May 10, 2015. From the creators of the critically acclaimed fanfiction series, Glee: Make It or Break It and Glee: Los Angeles, the Savages focuses on a high school social group, The Savages, set in James A. Masters High School in Seattle, Washington.

This season's themes focus on the social disunity in James A. Masters High School and unfair treatment in the school. The Savages are a rebellious group who encourage violent or reckless acts to force the school board to change. Season One also focuses on the secrets and motives of certain characters, such as Joe's motive to steal Trae's power. Also, this season tackles political and controversial topics/beliefs, such as feminism, racism, sexism, government corruption, and homophobia. 

Most of the episode titles are influenced by historical events, theories and psychological beliefs that reflect with the Savages and its characters. The episode premiere, "The Mafia", recieved rave reviews from fans, praising the songs, characters, and storylines. This fanfiction is considered one of Trae's strongest since Glee: Make It or Break It and Glee: Los Angeles.

Quincy Brown (Trae Ventura), Logan Browning (Gina Woods), Dove Cameron (Sydney Prescott), Cameron Diaz (Rose De Vil), Kyle Gallner (Joe Bender), Tyler Joseph (Nate Osbourne), Matt McGorry (Felix Winchester), Leighton Meester (Lily Blossom), Alex Meraz (Alex Herrera), Dylan O'Brien (Zachary Foxx), and Nick Robinson (Carl Touché) are introduced as the main cast of this season.

On June 22, 2015, The Savages was renewed for a 12-episode second season after three episodes had premiered. It is expected for a Fall 2015 release.

Upon its premiere, the first season garnered immediate acclaim from readers, praising the characters' personalities, social and political themes and humor. The series was considered one of REBELReloaded's best-written fanfictions since Glee: Los Angeles, despite its short demise. However, the series was also panned by critics who were adamant towards the character portrayals and rebellious concept.
